is collaborating with a hospital in the Outer Banks of North Carolina with an opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to assist their team with short-term locum Hospitalist coverage.

Opportunity Highlights:

• Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 2p-10p, specific dates
• No call required
• Daily Census: 17-21 total inpatients, 8-10 patients per APP, 9-13 admissions
• Duties: Admissions, consults, co-management of ED holds and admitted patients
• Team Structure: 2 hospitalist physicians, 4 APPs
• Comprehensive Support Staff: General surgery, emergency medicine, OB/GYN, cardiology, orthopedics, ENT, primary care, and oncology
• EMR: Epic
• Must be board-certified
• Paid travel & expenses

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered Gastroenterologist Internal Medicine Missouri state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program
• One year of work experience as Gastroenterologist
• One year of EMR experience
• Board Certified

• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.

• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
