Women's Health Care Nurse Practitioner
Planned Parenthood Los Angeles is the largest provider of reproductive healthcare in the Los Angeles operating 19 health centers and growing throughout Los Angeles County. We are presently seeking highly skilled Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants with great communication, clinical skills and a strong emphasis on excellent customer service to see our increasing, diverse patient population. Areas of need are South Bay, Santa Monica, Baldwin Hills/ Crenshaw, Lakewood, Lakewood Basics, and Long Beach.
The Clinician will join the Client Service team and provide quality reproductive health care services including exams, diagnosis, treatment, education, and counseling for clients in accordance with PPLA protocols. The Clinician will also serve as a medical resource for other Licensed and Non-Licensed Staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Post Abortion Exams
Medication Abortion (Not required for per diem employee)
Proficiency in 1st Trimester Ultrasound (Not required for per diem employee)
Orienting, Training or precepting licensed health care professionals
Ability to interpret colposcopy results to patients
Contraceptive implant – Insertion/Removal
Proficiency in EMR
Adhere to affiliate goals and policies on professionalism, wait time in-clinic and on the system for addressing client complaints.
Participate in health center efforts to achieve established goals for productivity.
Participate in health center/affiliate efforts to achieve established revenue cycle goals.
Education, training, experience:

Possess any applicable certifications, as required by the agency.
Must pass any applicable agency qualifying exam(s).
Ability to travel to multiple clinic sites.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Valid and current California license as a Nurse Practitioner, Certified Nurse Midwife, or Physician Assistant.
Current furnishing license.
Current CPR certification is required.
Current ACLS certification may be required.
At least one (1) year of experience in women’s health care is preferred.
National Certification is required.
DEA # may be required.
